| Taalib Johnson was born in September 16, 1977, better known by his stage name Musiq Soulchild or Musiq,is a soul artist whose style blends contemporary R&B, soul, funk, alternative, blues, jazz and hip hop. Musiq Soulchild has had 5 albums, start from year of 2000 with the double platinum album; "Aijuswanaseing" with "Just Friends", "Love", and "Girl Next Door" as a single, in 2002 he has released "Juslisen" with "Half Crazy" and "Don't Change" as a single and the album get platinum, in 2003 album; "Soulstar" with the most popular tunes "For the Night" and "Who Knows", in 2007 "Luvanmusiq" with "B.U.D.D.Y" and "Teach Me" as a single, and recent 2008 album "Onmyradio" with single hit "Radio", "If You Leave" feat Mary J Blige and "So Beautiful" . In 2009 he had a collaboration with India Arie in her new album with song "Chocolate High" which also had succeed. By all that his huge musical talent, he has received awards from Billboard, BET, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, BMI, and Soul Train. Musiq has also been nominated for awards by MTV, The American Music Awards, the NAACP, and has had 4 Grammy nominations. He also has been featured on TV & print ads along with having his music featured with major corporations such as McDONALDS, NIKE, COCA COLA, LEVIS and THE GAP. He's toured the country extensively, and is also internationally renowned for not just bringing great music, but also a great show. |
